    Alexa is the Amazon cloud service that powers Echo, Echo Plus and Dot, the groundbreaking new Amazon devices designed around your voice. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with technology across many domains; we are inventing the future.
    We are the team that manages rapidly growing third party (3P) skills catalog for Alexa across all Alexa enabled devices. If you are excited by technology and like working in a fast paced challenging environment, we would love to have you as part of the Amazon Alexa Skills Certification team. The team drives the entire ingestion and certification process for Alexa skills, which involves the entire life cycle from the time developer submits a skill to the time it is published on the store as well as ensuring high quality experience for Alexa customers even after it has been published.

    We are looking for high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Content Test Specialists to perform quality assurance testing on the Alexa skills consumed by Amazon’s Alexa customers. You will manage the flow and processing of new submissions and re-submissions which includes record creation and management, test and validation of the digital content to ensure it meets Amazon’s high quality bar. Above all, you will play a vital role in helping us meet our skills selection expansion goals while protecting our high-quality customer experience.

    A day in the life of a Content Test Specialist
    • Check how many skills have been assigned to you each day morning and complete certification based on SOP speedily and also with high quality, mark down test results on internal system, write Japanese blurbs to communicate with developers or directly talk with business team face to face.
    • Discussion with team members locally/globally about a concern, share your findings and seek solution together.
    • Join global meeting with teams based out of US and India to talk about issues in common or learn knowledge about new device or feature launches or SOPs

    Basic Qualifications

    • Full time Graduate in technology, arts or commerce
    • Native fluency in Japanese language, both verbal and written skills
    • Fluency in English language, both verbal and written
    • Strong communication skills; the ability to partner with internal team members effectively
    • Ability to understand basics of software testing or hardware devices like tablets, smart phones, voice recognition devices etc.
    • Attention to details and ability to root cause important issues impacting process or customers.
    • An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire content operations team
    • The ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
    • Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong working knowledge of basic business software like Word, Excel etc.
    • Knowledge of web technologies like basic HTML, CSS etc. or Software testing environment.
    • Knowledge of gaming software or Mobile Apps, Android OS.
    • 2-3 years work experience in testing any consumer facing software product/device/website will be a plus.
    • Passion for technology, eCommerce, the Internet, digital content, and the mobile/voice market segment;
    • Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
