    Sounds great. What will I be working on?
    In this role, you will be the primary owner of our editorial voice across customer-facing editorial channels. You will drive and execute our editorial strategy across multiple channels including web-site, playlist, social media and outbound messages. To do so, you are self-motivated, and have experienced being innovative in coming up with creative ideas/concepts. You will be presenting your creative ideas/concepts in the form of business proposals to stakeholders and helping to realize them.
    The editorial manager needs to be able to conceive and execute world-class, entertaining content from the idea stage to post-production, deploying both in-house resources and a network of external talent, working with artists, production teams and other teams within Amazon Music. You will also be connected with global partners so we introduce cutting-edge global products to our customers in Japan, and provide them in a way fits best for local customers.

Amazon Music offerings are available in countries around the world, and our applications support our mission of delivering music to customers in new and exciting ways that enhance their day-to-day lives.

    A day in the life:
    o Join our Monday morning meeting in the office or remotely—your choice
    o Weekly phone call with Editorial manager in N.Y to sync-up on global projects
    o Record an interview with an artist for their newly released album. Pass the audio file to post production for editing and sound treatment
    o Work with label relation team to acquire exclusive content from music industry
    o Have a meeting with local marketing team about social media marketing strategy
    o Use Friday afternoon for strategic thinking, and writing business document which will be presented to senior management for asking their help to realize your strategy

    Basic Qualifications

    - BA/BS required in Journalism, Communications, Literature, Marketing or related field
    - 5+ years of experience creating compelling content for media, production company or music services
    - Native (speaking and writing) level proficiency in Japanese and business level proficiency in English
    - Proficient using CMS tools and other content creation tools
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills
    - Experience working with multiple teams/global stakeholders, and managing people, includes external partners
    - Passion for music, music industry, and artists

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 10+ year’s experience in editing customer-facing content
    - Deep understanding of data-driven analysis with a proven track records of driving strategic marketing programs.
    - Experience with digital content with a strong understanding of email, social media and other emerging editorial/marketing channels
    - Excellent Interview skills
    - Music and/or entertainment industry experience interacting with artists
    Proven ability to thrive in a fluid environment and think on the fly
