    Japan (JP) Seller Services Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the JP Marketplace business. This is an opportunity to be part of Amazon’s international growth story, by shaping the opportunity for third party sellers (from both domestic and out of country) to sell on JP Marketplace. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the JP Seller Services Leadership team, executing the plans for growing the business, driving productivity improvements and supporting key initiatives / projects. He/she will also work with the finance teams in other regions (US/EU/China). Key deliverables include operational planning, goals, weekly metrics, bridges, and forecast updates together with ad hoc tasks and projects for JP .

    Responsibilities include:
    • Establish strong relationships with the ISS Finance team and the JP3P Business team
    • Collaboratively work with different finance and business to drive value by identifying challenges and working together to solve problems which arise in the business
    • Prepare, analyze, and report weekly / monthly / quarterly financials to leadership
    • Work with HR and business leadership on the headcount productivity tracking, and resource allocation, as well as standardizing across ISS
    • Dive deep into operating expenses to identify opportunities for cost out and implement process and control improvements
    • Assist with the creation of the annual budget and monitor it throughout the year against actuals
    • Prepare and present ad hoc business analysis and recommendations to senior management
    • Working closely with other finance teams in Japan and overseas (i.e. US/EU/China)

    Basic Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Math, Economics, Engineering or similar discipline with analytical bias
    • 5+ years of relevant experience (i.e. finance analyst in an organization with world class processes / experience in consulting or financial institution)
    • Understanding of basic accounting principles
    • Team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills
    • Proven leadership achieving effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment
    • Experience in setting up business cases and driving financial conclusions, strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in a business partnering role
    • Superior attention to detail and have the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, though never losing the big picture out of sight
    • An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and to simplify both finance and operational processes
    • Fluent in Japanese and Business Level English
    • Strong MS Office skills and advanced proficiency in Excel .


    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA preferred
    • Advanced analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills required
    • MS in Finance or other quantitative areas preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
    • Strong ability to take initiative and self-start when necessary
    • Former experience in Retail or Operations industry
    • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
