    We are looking for a dynamic and organized self-starter for a HR Business Partner in Operations.
    The key client group is FC Operations in Amazon Japan. FC Operations consists of more than 10 fulfillment centers (FCs) located in Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, and Kyushu region.
    The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role providing full cycle Human Resources activities for support to clients group.
    The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

    Preferred qualification for this position is working for the same/close industries/functions like Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Services, Retail business and other industries/functions related to Consumer business. Leveraging such experience in same industries will accelerate candidates to understand the business needs and come up with the speed of Amazon growth. Working experience for 300 or more employees with employment complexities or for global/cross-cultural industries and company will be a strong plus. Also, people management experience like supervising 3-5 HR members will be preferred.

    HR Business Partner is expected to perform a strong expertise in HR field by improving/simplify existing HR processes/procedures and proactively introducing a new technology in order for HR practice to be much more effective, efficient and scalable. To realize these inventions and simplifications, this position is expected to perform hands-on HR activities to get trust from customers as well as HR members, and this position is also expected true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the “pulse” of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.

    The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree. An advanced degree, M.B.A. and/or professional certifications are not mandatory but could be more preferable. Native level for writing/speaking/reading Japanese and the business level English will be required. Amazon Japan K.     Essential Functions (% of Time)
    1. 20%:
    Business Partnering: Facilitate manager level discussion related to human resources planning; provide guidance, consultation and effective solutions to contribute value for client’s business. Providing partnering and interface at all levels of the organization
    2. 25%:
    Performance Management / Reward planning: Annual performance review process, the annual grant process, succession planning process and other employee development programs for the client groups.
    3. 25%
    Employee Relations: Keep a pulse on employee morale, productivity and effectiveness; assist in implementing strategies to sustain/improve the workforce (retention). Coaches and educates managers on resolving more complex employee relations issues. Responds proactively to employee and managers issues and is available for consultation.
    4. 15%
    Training and Development: Take ownership to provide inter department training session to team members. Collaborate with Leadership Talent Development to plan/implement training sessions to Jr. management and below.
    5. 15%
    Recruiting: Tracks fixed headcount and positions requisitions within team. Initiate, implement and manage effective sourcing strategies to support all recruiting especially exempt employees and ensures the bar is continually maintained and raised.

    Basic Qualifications

    Basic Qualification / Skills:
    1. The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, proactivity and development of HR within the company.
    2. Being an enthusiastic people manager as well as team player with a strong drive to create a position work environment
    3. The ability to be comfortable with high volume worked and not be afraid to “roll up your selves”
    4. A strong solution focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
    5. Use skills gained as experienced professional, works on resolving a wide range of issues within team/department in imaginative as well as practical ways
    6. Native level for Japanese and Business level for English
    7. Have technical skills for data collection and analysis

    Experiences
    :
    - Total 10 years + of business experience
    - 5 years (Min) of HR professional field

    Sr. HR Business Partner act as influential partners to help leaders be “right a lot” and make hard people and organizational decisions. We “speak the truth” even when it isn’t popular.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Global/Cross-cultural experiences will be a plus
    - Experience working in a dynamic and fast paced and an ambiguous environment will be a plus

    Monthly basic salary: 558,800 yen or more   (Your annual basic salary will be paid by twelve (12) equal installments.)
    Your basic salary includes the amount equal to the overtime work allowances for 70 hours of your overtime work, as overtime work allowances, midnight work allowances and statutory holiday work allowances (the“Fixed Premium Wages”).
    If the actual amount of the overtime work allowances, midnight work allowances and statutory holiday work allowances exceeds the amount of the Fixed Premium Wages, the company shall pay youthe balance. Reference Example: If the basic salary is 558,800 yen,
    the Fixed Premium Wages will be 361,244 yen,  
    and the basic salary excluding the Fixed Premium Wages is 197,556 yen.
