EXTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION Amazon is seeking a highly motivated 1-to-1 Key Account Manager for Self-Service Performance Advertising in Japan. This is a rapidly growing new business, which provides a platform to advertise brands and products sold on Amazon. Our programs are Sponsored Products, Headline Search Ads (search) and Product Display Ads (display). They are pay per click and provide great ROAS to our advertisers. We are a highly visible and strategic department within Amazon. The Key Account Manager will be directly responsible for working closely with top advertisers having them engaged in the program, executing advertiser’s marketing plans to help them achieve their objectives, whether product sales or branding, etc., on Amazon. Through increased advertiser performance and satisfaction, we aim at increase ad revenue.
SCOPE OF ROLE The ideal candidate must have proven experience working in highly competitive sales/engagement role. He or She will be responsible for client advertising optimization and maximization in performance advertising programs. Channel segment will be direct sales or/and on-line marketing and will be defined based on the strategy of the team, which may be flexible based on the goals and challenges. Keys to success include performance advertising program sales, account management or consulting background, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, along with customer focus.
1. The Key Account Manager needs to demonstrate strong skills in engaging with top tier advertisers, and produce effective ways to optimize/maximize advertisement opportunities for the client and business. 2. Will own goals for revenue and participation from a book of top advertisers. 3. Requires solid understanding of performance advertisement and strong consulting skills to implement effective tactics. 4. Build a process for smooth advertisement consulting, conduct learning sessions, and provides necessary reports to evaluate advertisement effectiveness. 5. Partner with global teams to share best practice, and standardize metrics and approaches. 6. Data Analysis and automation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1. Deep knowledge of self-service listing ads and/or display network program 2. 5+ years of key account management and/or consulting experience 3. Experience in working with new services and/or products and growing that business 4. Good communication skill and influencing power over related sections 5. An ability to deal with ambiguity. Can deliver results and drive change in loosely defined situations. 6. Native level Japanese 7. Strong in data mining/ analysis and provide fact-base recommendation 8. Good Excel skills
