  • Job Description

    Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the Japan Advertising finance team. This individual will:
    • Serve as the key business partner to JP sales leader working directly with senior management and a broad set of internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations and analysis.
    • Work closely with FP&A and business partners to manage the annual financial planning process
    • Regularly forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities.
    • Report on the financial performance and lead the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reviews
    • Ensure strong financial controllership and accuracy in reporting.
    • Partner with Sales and Retail teams to drive advertising growth
    • Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management

    Basic Qualifications

    • Proven, established professional experience in analytical position such as finance, consulting, business analysis, revenue management, or web analytics
    • Ability to build and manage models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate analyses and insights to senior stakeholders.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
    • Fluent verbal and written English
    • BA/BS Degree required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Language skill: Japanese
    • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex strategic problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including advanced Excel skills and VBA.
    • Knowledge of SQL, database, and data mining is desirable.
    • Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, dynamic pricing, demand modeling, game theory and customer/product segmentation
    • MBA or Masters in Business, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics preferred
