Amazon.co.jp is looking for a talented, customer centric Product Manager for books category. The PM will be responsible for developing new business opportunity for future growth, executing strategic projects to improve customer experience, and seeking operational efficiency, within wide business territory for all printed books, including novels, non-fictions, magazines, comics, academic books, children books and so on.
As PM for books, you will have the exciting opportunities to develop various products and services to further grow our business by leading innovation and improving fundamentals. This PM will drive his/her own projects. Project themes include new merchandizing function on the Amazon site, competitor benchmarking from customer point of view, selection expansion, product discover-ability enhancement, and other new service launches. PM will coordinate functionally with Vendor Managers, Site Merchandizers, and Instock Managers in retail category teams. Also, PM will closely work with US/EU counterpart PMs and JP/China operation teams to align with global initiatives, reflect best practices, and build & run scalable operations.
- Analytical skills in dealing with large datasets and interpreting business performance, key financial and operational metrics
- Project management, communication excellence, identifying key contacts, tracking, reporting as a self-starter with ambiguity
- Comfortable with data analysis through excel and internal business intelligence tools
- Language: native level Japanese and business level English required
