The Advertising Design and User Experience team at Amazon has an immediate need for an exceptional Art Director with a world-class portfolio and proven eye for the beautiful, the compelling, and the extraordinary. This position is located in Tokyo, Japan.
The successful candidate is ready to help Amazon think big and execute exceptional brand experiences across desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms (and beyond) for Amazon.co.jp and its wide array of global advertisers. You will work closely with Sales and Marketing team partners to bring ideas to life to help drive new business. Prior experience in an agency or media design environment selling to global brands is highly desired.
Responsibilities The Art Director (AD) will be responsible for digesting core campaign requirements and taking the lead on designing rich customer experiences. This will include some direction of design personnel as well as individually handling projects from kick-off to launch. The AD may also work remotely with counterparts in the US and EU on the ideation and creation of interactive execution of all shapes, sizes, and platforms.
The AD will report to the Creative Director and will, on many projects, lead the creation and production of the best design solution possible for our customer and clientele; he or she will follow the direction of Creative and other internal management teams as initiatives require; is expected to demonstrate best practices for all creative and production work; and will represent Creative and Production talent in presenting to internal stakeholders, external clients, and agency partners.
