Job Description

Amazon is looking for a data-savvy professional to create, report on, and monitor business and operations metrics. This role will help scope, influence, and evaluate process improvements, and will contribute to Amazon’s success by enabling data-driven decision making that will impact the customer experience.

The successful candidate will possess a strong passion for analytics, setting high standards, accuracy and staying ahead of a dynamic and fast growing business. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions. Above all you should be passionate about working with huge data sets and someone who loves to bring datasets together to answer business questions and drive change.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- Advanced SQL skills, with experience querying extremely large datasets from multiple sources and developing automated reporting
- Advanced Excel experience analyzing data and creating daily/weekly/monthly reports, including knowledge of vlookups, graphs, and linked data
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience working experience as a business analyst, business intelligence engineer, or equivalent
- Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sets quickly
- Experience developing ETL/ELT solutions within a Data Warehouse environment
- Good working knowledge of Oracle environment and Data Warehousing concepts
- Experience with one or more ETL tools (e.g. Informatica) and one or more BI Reporting tools (e.g. OBIEE)
- Excellent communication, planning, presentation and organization skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
- An ability to manage and work with an international & culturally diverse population
- Fluent in Japanese and English (business writing and capable of conducting conference call)

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

- Experience with Redshift and Tableau
