Job Description

With over 500,000 apps and games, the Amazon Appstore offers an ever increasing selection to its customers on Amazon Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and the entire family of Android devices.

The consumer marketing team focuses on growing, engaging and monetizing the Amazon Appstore’s user base. We are also shaping Amazon Appstore’s foray into exciting areas such as e-Sports, Twitch, Amazon Echo and more. We are looking for a senior business development & marketing manager to identify, develop and manage partnerships and strategic initiatives in collaboration with product, business development and merchandizing.

The role will be responsible for building the Amazon Appstore user acquisition, engagement and monetization strategy. It will lead partner marketing campaigns to promote our message to millions of customers globally and set up business development deals to bring exclusive benefits to our customers. You will roll up your sleeves to design and execute innovative co-marketing campaigns end to end.

This includes (i) identifying strategic partnership opportunities (ii) pitching our value proposition and negotiating terms (iii) working with consumer marketing and engineering to launch campaigns to help both Amazon and the partner reach their goals (iii) setting up the partner marketing strategy and channels for the entire organization. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a small and nimble team of growth hackers working on initiatives that can impact hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.

Additional Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with our team of business development managers to identity strategic growth opportunities for Amazon Appstore.
· Identify, creatively structure and negotiate complex co-marketing campaigns and work with product management, engineering, marketing, legal and PR to execute.
· Build and execute on the partner marketing plan for Amazon Underground and Appstore.

Basic Qualifications

· BS/BA degree in a related field
· 6+ years of consumer marketing or business development experience working in roles related to user growth or engagement, as well as a strong understanding of user growth strategies and partnership models.
· Proven ability to operate in a collaborative and cross functional team environment - providing thought leadership to help build consensus and reach key decisions.
· Has worked with external stakeholders to design and launch large scale co-marketing campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or MS a plus.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to build partnership using a metrics driven approach.
· Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills in Japanese (native level); Fluent in English
· Strong initiative and with proven ability to execute with little supervision and an ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
